"Our mission is to foster the total development of students and prepare them for higher education and the world of work; to this end we are committed to working closely with parents and the wider community to create a nurturing environment where students are motivated to pursue excellence and develop their intellectual, social, moral and creative potential."
There are approximately 80+ faculty members on our team who are enthusiastic, multi-talented and are well qualified in their field of study.
Our dynamic staff of youthful professionals are experienced educators who are passionate about their fields and committed to providing the best possible education to our students. Our staff members are not only experts in their fields but also caring mentors who provide personalized guidance to our students.
Basseterre High School was established on September 4th of 1967. It was formerly known as The Grammar School which merged with The Girls School.
Overtime, the original location of the school spanned between Taylor's Range and Victoria Road hence it had an Eastern and a Western campus.
The original building is no longer there. The school has been relocated to St. Bernard's Drive in Taylor's Range.
Our mission is to embrace the pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage critical thinking and emphasize the learning process over rote memorization.
